Russian Internet audience over 50 m a day
50.1 million adult Russians use the Internet at least once every day, according to a report published by FOM foundation. Active Internet users thus account for 43% of the country's population, or 3% up from the previous survey that was made last Autumn.

Russian mobile app market soared in 2012
Russian mobile application market is estimated to be worth $160 m, according to a report published by J’son & Partners Consulting. The data from 2012 shows the market grew by 256% compared to the previous year. The company estimates the global market value to be $7.83 bn., and expects it to reach $65.79 by 2016.

Yandex reveals SPO share price
Leading Russian search engine Yandex has announced the price of its stock at the forthcoming SPO will be $22.75 per share. Yandex had earlier said it would sell 7.4% of its shares. The portfolio for sale is thus estimated at $551.78 m.

Former Mail.Ru executive appointed Rostelecom VP
Alexey Basov, formerly Vice-President at Mail.Ru Group, has accepted a similar job at Rostelecom, where he will supervise Internet projects and strategy.

VK bans third-party ad networks
Popular Russian social network VKontakte will no longer allow ads from advertising systems other then its own to appear on its pages. The move was effected today.
