Apple sued by Russian Railways

State-operated Russian Railways (RzhD) have sued Apple for allegedly infringing its trademark. According to RZhD, its registered logo was used without permission in several applications available in AppStore. The suitor wants 2 m rubles (roughly $ 65,000) for the infringement.

The case was taken to Russia's Supreme Arbitration Court on 14 January, but the date of the hearing has been yet set.

Apple has had trouble earlier with the Swiss national railroad operator, SBB, who sued the company for using the design of its iconic clock in iOS 6 clock interface. The suit ended with a licensing agreement between the parties.
