OZON.Ru launches eCommerce b2b service

Russia's largest online retailer, OZON.RU, has launched eSolutions, a b2b service aimed at helping other companies advance in the field of eCommerce. The new firm will aid Russian and international brands with their Internet sales strategies, technological solutions, order processing and deliveries.

In the first stage, eSolutions will focus on developing individual solutions for each of its clients, but portfolio offers may also appear in the future. OZON representatives say their fist potential clients are Western companies who consider entering Russian market. On the other hand, Russian companies may soon start using eSolutions' services, as electronic commerce is growing rapidly in the country (some analysts predict a growth of about 25% a year).

"Our goal is to reinforce our leadership in Russia's electronic commerce; and we have all the necessary infrastructure and expertise to achieve it. eSolutions project is yet another step towards this aim", said OZON's CEO Maelle Gavet.

OZON's second b2b project (after O-Currier, a firm that manages deliveries from online stores), eSolutions will be headed by Aleksey Timonin, who used to be oversee development of OZON.travel online store.
